Skater and bike paradise on the shore of Lake Zug

Take a break during your tour with a cruise (e.g. from Walchwil to Arth) or finish your circuit of Lake Zug on the lake with a snack from the on-board menu.

Route

Zug – Cham – Buonas/Risch – Immensee – Arth – Walchwil – Zug

Description

Sometimes straight, sometimes winding, then into a slight incline – but with a fabulous view of Lake Zug all the way. This tour is perfect for combining with a refreshing stop at the pool, a relaxing cruise or a delicious picnic on the lake shore or at the heart of nature. In Immensee, it's worth taking a short family trip to the Sunnehof farm*. Here you can enjoy a taste of farm life from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day, watch the farmer milking the cows (5 a.m. and 5 p.m.) and pet the calves. If you conquer the last ascent from there by bike, you can enjoy a rest on a bench with an impressive view of Lake Zug and the majestic mountain backdrop. The route from Arth to Walchwil is a busy road and does not have a separate cycle path. We recommend enjoying this part of the route from the sun deck on the boat.
