A look behind the scenes

Browse our stories and find out what goes on behind the scenes at Lake Zug.

Winter magic follows the course season

Our boats also cruise after the end of the course season. Lake Zug in winter is the ideal place to shift down a gear or two: Especially in the mystical atmosphere, when the ship breaks through the wintry clouds or snowflakes and glittering shore lights drift past the window.

Light boat
On this evening cruise, we serve cosy à la carte dishes for the cold season. As a side dish: a lovingly decorated deck with fairy lights, garlands and blazing torches. Because light has the magic to enchant and warm you.

Fondue over lunch
How about a delicious Walchwil mountain cheese fondue at lunchtime, while the peaks pass by with a hint of white outside? A convivial fondue meal warms you up from the inside, puts you in a good mood and strengthens you for the upcoming Christmas shopping.

Chinoise boat
On your fork, get set, go. The evening cruise with meat fondue à la Chinoise is for all those who love tradition. The slices of meat are beautifully tender, the homemade sauces flavoursome. When fragrant steam rises from the bubbling pots, it warms the stomach and soul.

Sunday breakfast or lunch
On Sundays, we start the day more slowly - with our à discretion breakfast buffet with Prosecco and hot and cold delicacies. On 3 December 2023, a guest of honour will be on board: Father Christmas rewards every verse with a sack.
Or would you prefer to relax on the lake over lunch and enjoy a favourite à la carte meal? The fresh lake breeze, a passing winter panorama and moments of relaxation are included.
