A look behind the scenes
Browse our stories and find out what goes on behind the scenes at Lake Zug.
The new season
We've been sailing across Lake Zug every day for a week now. As such, we wanted to get an outlook for the months ahead with our CEO, Philipp Hofmann, and find out what Zugersee Schifffahrt is offering this season, what is important to us and, above all, what our guests can look forward to on the lake!
What can our guests look forward to on the lake and from the new programme?
Cruises on Lake Zug have enjoyed a strong upturn over the last few years. We are holding on to our success factors. A good mix of culinary cruises and those that offer a musical or entertaining setting. These are always partnered with the unique experience of a cruise in this beautiful environment. We want to offer an even more unique experience and attract a younger audience with cruises such as Burgers & Beer and the hop-on, hop-off services.
What is not to be missed?
We consistently use local suppliers, whether for the maintenance of our boats or for our catering services. Our guests can enjoy that on cruises every day. However, we also offer very specific "Culinary delights from Zug" evening cruises, which put local suppliers in the spotlight. Cheese from Walchwil, meat from Zug, beer from Baar and a digestif from Etter are all celebrated on this cruise.
What is important to us?
We want to offer our guests a few hours of happiness and "simply being". They should be able to feel at ease and enjoy themselves from the moment the boat casts off. Our team and that of our catering partner are there to help with that.
What are we expecting from the new season?
Last season was one of the most successful in the history of the company. We want to build on that, and say farewell to completely satisfied guests at the end of every cruise. We wish to make our cruises even more popular with the local people, and finally, our last wish is – of course – for good weather. A summer like we had in 2022 would be great for our cruises.
