Rockin’ all over the Zugersee

"Never too old to rock" is the slogan on the Radio Argovia Classic Rock Boat. Sing along, dance and celebrate rock music.

Bon Jovi kicks things off: a long keyboard-organ intro that builds up the tension, and then "Let It Rock"! The party on the Radio Argovia Classic Rock Boat starts right off with a bang. And continues with the big anthems all evening - from AC/DC to Deep Purple, from Krokus to Gotthard, from Metallica to Nirvana, from Led Zeppelin to Kiss, from Status Quo to ZZ Top. They are the really big rock hits of the last 40 to 50 years. "The guests on board should have a good time, hoot along, bob along," says Urs Hofstetter aka rock DJ Lupi: "It's all about celebrating the rock bands and their music - just like we celebrated them before."

Where better than on board the MS Zug. When the ship sets sail and the lights on the shore and the starry sky shine after sunset. When the breeze feels like a sea breeze, the music puts you in the mood and the atmosphere is one of open-air parties and holidays. Inside on the main deck, you can enjoy fine rock menus and drinks and listen to the music. And up on the open-air deck there is enough space to move around. At the latest when rock DJ Lupi inserts the CD - "DJing is manual work for me" - by Status Quo with "The Wanderer" or turns up Van Halen's "Jump", the ship rocks on all decks and possibly also on the bridge. Because even the captain of the Radio Argovia Classic Rock Boat is a self-confessed rock fan.
