The MS Rigi in new splendour – the perfect stage for unforgettable moments

Now she is back in her element: following her refurbishment, the MS Rigi has a lot of personality with her new inviting look.

After 30 years of active service, the MS Rigi has acquired some patina. It was time to let in a breath of fresh air and let the vessel shine with a modern character. To this end, the guest areas have been completely redesigned. "The MS Rigi is the coolest location in the Zug area," says Managing Director Philipp Hofmann: "We offer high-quality gastronomy for every taste, accompanied by the Alpine backdrop, the most beautiful sunsets in Europe and the unique feeling of holiday and peace on the lake. It's the perfect setting for a special event, whatever the season."

New lounge and bar
This is all the more true after the renovation: inside, everything unnecessary has been removed so as not to distract guests from their time out on board. At the same time, the sound system and lighting have been modernised. A new addition is the lounge on the upper deck with an elegant sitting area and bar. - Ideal for guests who want to enjoy the inspiring expanse and tranquillity of the lake in a more intimate setting, with the feeling of being outside yet protected from the wind and weather.  

Spirit of the times and emotions
After the gentle refreshment, the vessel now exudes the spirit of the times and emotions, also thanks to the colour scheme: light colours characterise the areas with a lot of movement and activity. In the lounge areas, where people like to linger longer, darker colours dominate, creating a calming atmosphere.

The historical pictures on the walls tell the story of Lake Zug shipping and lend personality to the interior. They invite guests to become part of future experiences and adventures on the water. Perhaps on one of the next cruises on a Monday or Sunday, on a special trip –  or on an extra trip for a special private or corporate event?
